John Prine at the Saenger

This was our second helping of John Prine live and we were not disappointed. Prine is a tireless performer that loves what he does for a living. The nights only shortcoming was the Saenger's flip flop on their "beer" in the concert area policy. I rarely inbibe, but seeing so many of my fellow concert goers joining in, I bought me a plastic cup of suds and started back to my seat (Row FF - Last row next to the lighting and sound man's control board) and was stopped by a little gray haired lady who apologetically explained that Mr. Prine made a policy of no drinking during his concerts.

At John's prompting I poured the beer into an oversized trash can in the lobby and returned to my seat and listened and watched, as I had planned, utterly SOBER.
