Fahrenheit 9/11: The Movie
Got up early, drove 80 miles, and watched a 10:40 early show.
I always liked Michael Moore. Number one, he is smart. Number two, he asks the question no one else will. Number three, he is a big guy. I am a big guy and big guys have to stick together. When my 20 year old son gave me "Bowling for Colunbine" to watch, I was blown away by the fact that the most insightful sound bite came from somewhere I would not have expected , the painted lips of none other than Marilyn Manson. I knew then, if I hadn't already figured it out, that Mike was a genius. A genius at upending your preconcieved ideas of the universe. That what documentries should do, but very few ever do.
Don't take my word for it, I'd already been duped once. I knew that even before Mike underlined it for me.
Genius? Sure ain't BUSH and company.
P.S. Wouldn't it be nice to imagine a world in which a movie could upend a presidential election?
